New Job

Its interesting at how the Lord works.  It's been 4 1/2 months since Mike was laid of from the landscaping job that he had.  It's been very difficult.  About a month and a half ago, the second counselor in the bishobric told me about a job at the company that he works for, and gave me the website.  He also told me that If I didn't hear anything within about 2-3 weeks to let him know.  Well, I applied for the job, but didn't hear anything for about three weeks.  I talked to Bro. Verhoeff briefly and went on my way. He talked to HR and emailed me saying to email my resume to Marcella in HR.  I did yet still nothing for about a week.  Then I get a phone call from HR and we talked a little bit.  The job a had applied for didn't fit my skills but she offered that If I had found anything else that I would like to do, to call her and let her know.  It the midst of talking she had put out that there was a work from home position but that it only paid 7.25/hr.  I told her that I would be interested.  So she forwarded my resume to the hiring manager for that area and he called last Friday to discuss what hours I would be able to work.  He said he was hoping to fill the Sat - Sun. schedule.  I told him that IF I had to do a Sunday, I wouldn't be able to do anything till after 3 pm.  I was told that he would call me back and that he was going to try and move people around.  After finishing our conversation, I was thinking 'I don't want to work Sunday.'  Well Tuesday as I was out and about, I get a call from HR, asking if I had been able to talk to Kelly regarding the position, etc.  (I had been planning on calling him Wednesday just to see where things were standing).  I was then extended a job offer to work Mon - Fri 7am to 1pm.  30 hours a week at 7.25 isn't a LOT of money, BUT it is income we DIDN'T have.  I DON"T have to worry about finding a babysitter(even if Mike finds a job).  and the best part I GET to be home with my kids.
